General information

CSVPA is located in Cambridge, one of the world’s greatest cities which has recently celebrated over 800 years of history. This world famous University City boasts magnificent architecture with plenty of parks and unspoilt countryside. It is a safe and welcoming city with a large student community representing many nationalities.

In the last 25 years school has given students the opportunities to develop their skills, build their confidence and progress onto some of the most prestigious Art & Design schools, music conservatoires and world-renowned drama schools.

The Art and Design Summer School

This course is designed to provide students with a broad knowledge of a range of specialist disciplines within art and design. It is ideal for students who are serious about pursuing further studies or a career in art and design. With direction from professional artists, classes are intensive and students are encouraged to produce a high standard of work in a different specialist area each week. For 2015 there will be three options available: Fashion and Textiles, Photography, Applied Craft.

Week Course includes:
  • Intensive classes with professional artists (30 hours per week);
  • Evening social activitie;
  • 1 full day excursion.

The Drama Summer School

Two-week Summer Schools introduce a range of different drama techniques in a fun, safe and active environment. They will also improve your confidence, self-esteem and communication skills. You can choose the area of theatre that appeals to you most, or, if you are considering a career in drama, you can extend your range by trying a number of different disciplines. For 2015 there will be three options available: Musical Theatre, Acting & Physical Theatre.

Week Course includes:
  • intensive classes with professional artists (28-35 hours per week);
  • evening social activitie;
  • 1 full day excursion included in the second week of your course

No English lessons included. International students should have at least an intermediate level of English (IELTS 3.0+) and can choose to combine their specialist weeks with separate weeks of Intensive English.

Activities

Evening programme include the welcome disco, quiz night, casino night, talent show, fancy dress disco, film night, games night and more. 
Saturday excursions to London, Windsor etc. are compulsory for under 18 year old students. These excursions are included in weekly fee. Packed lunches are provided on the Saturday excursions.
