Churchill House School

General information

Churchill House school is located in a quiet residential area less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The School is in an attractive nineteenth century square overlooking public tennis courts and the harbour. The main buildings date from 1814 and although they have been completely modernised, still retain their charm.

Classes and activities will take place across the square in one of our school buildings with spacious, modern classrooms. Also across the square is our Clubroom with a range of facilities including a self-service restaurant, disco, and pool table.

Junior Summer Courses

Classes are small, allowing more one-to-one attention and cover the full range of English levels. Students are tested on arrival and teachers closely monitor his or her progress throughout their stay to ensure the correct level of ability is maintained. The lessons motivate the student by using a wide range of language activities designed to improve their ability to communicate fluently.

Activities

Activities at Ramsgate centre can take place in the mornings (09:00 - 12:30) or the afternoon (14:00 - 17:00). Activities scheduled for this summer include: dance, drama, football, arts, tennis, badminton, shopping, volleyball, fashion show, clay workshops, orienteering, craft. There are also evening activities each weeknight where students can join in discos, quizzes, competitions and games.

Excursions that will be scheduled for this coming summer include: London, Oxford, Cambridge, Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Brighton, Windsor Castle, Bath & Stonehenge, Chatham Historic Dockyard.
