St Giles Juniors Vancouver

General information

St Giles Juniors Vancouver is founded on base of the University of British Columbia. The programme offers students not only upscale English courses, but also the chance to experience the best of Vancouver and British Columbia.

Territory of the University is nestled in acres of beautiful gardens with a regional park next door and the Pacific ocean within walking distance, it is a beautiful and inspiring setting for a summer programme. The beautiful campus is surrounded by forest and ocean on all sides, and features some fantastic on-site facilities. These include a sports centre, an ice hockey arena, a swimming pool, tennis courts and playing fields, the Vancouver Museum of Anthropology, the Beaty Biodiversity Museum (home to Canada’s largest blue whale skeleton), a working farm and the UBC Botanical Garden.

General English Course

General English course is designed to help you communicate more effectively and confidently in everyday situations. Your classes will be fast-paced and interactive, using real-life materials and situations, and will encourage you to participate and motivate you to learn.

Activities

A full afternoon and evening activity programme is provided. There are a range of activities per week including discos, film nights, karaoke, soccer, swimming, cinema trips, Canadian Idol Night, shopping and visits to beaches and local attractions. There will also be at least two full-day and two half-day excursions per week included in the package price. Destinations include Whistler, Vancouver city tours, Cultus Lake Water Park, Stanley Park and the Vancouver Aquarium. Additionally, each student attending the Vancouver programme will receive a seaplane tour of downtown Vancouver and the Vancouver Harbour.
