During the summer Churchill House junior camps welcome students from over 30 different countries so you get the chance to speak English to new friends from all corners of the world! There are so many opportunities to practice English with new friends, the school staff and other British people on excursions and have fun. You get to experience British culture first hand, experience new places and get to see some of the most famous sights in the UK. There are always fun activities to join like sports, arts and dance, and the friendly school staff are there to keep you entertained!
Thanks to a new program this year in children have a unique opportunity to gain even more experience for 2-week trip.
Wonderful adventures begin in St. Lawrence College in Ramsgate, which is a historic seaside town on the southeast corner of England. Ramsgate has a picturesque harbour, some lovely Regency architecture and a sandy beach – perfect for enjoying the long summer days is situated in Ramsgate!
St Lawrence is in the area known as the Isle of Thanet, which includes several Blue Flag beaches and the seaside towns of Margate and Broadstairs. Thanet has been home to several artists and writers: Charles Dickens, the artist J.M.W Turner and Vincent Van Gogh taught French at a school in Ramsgate.
The centre is located within walking distance from the sandy beach. On sunny days students have an opportunity to play beach volleyball and build sand sculptures.
The second week of your summer holidays in England will be devoted to exploring the capital of Great Britain. During the London Experience Programme juniors are accommodated in the Royal Russell school campus.
Royal Russell provides the perfect mix of city and countryside. Located in Croydon, it is situated in an oasis of green parkland and yet is only minutes from central Croydon with its easy access from central London and its world famous attractions.
The school offers a complete campus with accommodation, classrooms and sports facilities all in one place. It provides a wonderful environment for a summer vacation English language course. The London Experience Programme offers students the perfect opportunity to experience all that London has to offer; museums, sights, galleries and culture.
The course includes 3 afternoon visits and 1 evening into central London per week during which the school staff take juniors sightseeing or to visit important attractions. The programme also gives students a flight on the famous London Eye to experience the wonderful views of the historic city centre.
