The fascinating walk through the historical center of Edinburgh with the Russian speaking guide will be an excellent start of your acquaintance with this amazing city. You will walk along the famous Royal Mile from the Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, you will see the Houses of Parliament and the Supreme Court of Scotland, the St Giles' Cathedral and other architectural sights. You will be able to visit the Lonmarket and perhaps one of the music festivals on the High Street.
Also students will go to the excursion on famous double-decker bus Hop-off-Hop-on, during which you will be able to see the main attractions of the megalopolis and to visit the Palace of Holyrood, as well as to walk through the magnificent Holyrood Park. We are sure that the visit of Edinburgh Castle will stay in your memory forever. Throughout the history of the country the ancient fortress, located on the top of the castle rock, is a kind of "key to Scotland." The oldest building in Edinburgh, St Margaret's Chapel, is on the territory of the castle. The Chapel holds the sacred Stone of Scone and the Crown of Scotland.
During the exit excursion you will visit the famous Loch Ness and the Museum of the Loch Ness monster. Perhaps you will be lucky to get acquainted with the mythical monster. Edinburgh Zoo is a part of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. It is the most visited place after the Edinburgh Castle. The main celebrities here are koalas and the family of royal penguins. In addition to exploring the world of fauna, you will find one of the largest and most diverse collections of plants, as well as some magnificent panoramic views of Edinburgh.
While shopping on Princess Street and George Street, you can not only do your shopping, but also get acquainted with the new city. Here you can find inexpensive and popular shops "Primark" and "Orange shop", English shops and Shopping centers of Scottish firms as well as boutiques of international brands.
During the excursion to the Museum Camera Obscura and World of Illusions you will see the mirror maze, tunnel with rotating walls, electric room and many other wonders of optics, you will learn the history of Scotland from the old photos and inspect the city from the viewing platforms.
Accommodation
The participants of the excursion tour are accommodated in the Edinburgh Park Hotel. The hotel has a cafeteria, lounge, laundry and free access to the Internet. It offers students comfortable rooms for 2 persons. Breakfast is included in the cost programme.
