ELC Eastbourne is ideally located in the centre of Eastbourne in a quiet tree-lined road, just two minutes from the shops and five minutes from Eastbourne seafront. Eastbourne is a delightful seaside town just 90 minutes from London on the sunny South Coast of England, famous for its Victorian architecture and its beautiful setting between the hills of the South Downs and the sea. There is a large shopping centre, lots of restaurants and bars, two sports centres, three museums, an art gallery, three theatres and numerous parks.
Facilities in the modernised Victorian buildings of ELC Eastbourne include 20 light classrooms, a spacious student lounge, a multimedia learning centre with a lively café, free wi-fi internet access, a bookshop and beautiful gardens. In addition to a selected education program Eastbourne School of English gives you an opportunity to practice your English while meeting and communicating with other students from different countries.

The General English Course is designed to give you the confidence to communicate effectively in real-life situations. The course consists of 25 lessons per week and is held from Monday to Friday. The course provides a balanced programme, focusing on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, whilst covering essential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, idioms and colloquial language. The programme is intended for students with any level of language proficiency - from beginner to advanced.
The school offers a wide range of social activities after classes: boat trip to Beachy Head; mini-golf on Eastbourne seafront; swimming at the Sovereign Centre; cinema; tennis, football and volleyball; ten-pin bowling at Lloyds Lanes. The programme includes 1 half day excursion to Brighton or Hastings and 1 full day excursion to London, Cambridge, Oxford or Bath and Canterbury per week.
Living in homestay accommodation provides you with the perfect opportunity to experience English life and to practise using your English in everyday situations. All the homestays are carefully selected by the Accommodation Department who understand the needs of students from other countries. ELC Eastbourne is conveniently located right in the centre of Eastbourne. You will normally be placed in a homestay within walking distance of school so you will not need to pay for transportation. The programme includes breakfast and evening meal served every day, with lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
